This year was my first time of attending the Rockets over Rhema Independence Day celebration. This year I went to explore the event and enjoyed wandering throughout the exhibits. I had my camera with me because I wanted to add some fireworks photographs to my photography page. Here is a selection of photographs taken there.
Throughout the day, the number of people at the event increased. This annual event draws around 50,000 people. There was a concert with several bands, a classic car show, face painting and games for the children, displays and vendors, and a fireworks display. The classic cars were from various eras and there was a wide variety on display. Many had been totally restored while others were a work still in progress. The threat of rain and storms encouraged many of the car owners to leave early. Nothing like having an open top car or one without windows to make the likelihood of rain a strong reason to leave early.
Here are a few photographs of cars and parts of cars.
This is only a few of the classics cars at the show. If you enjoy classic cars, there is always next year’s show.
